Björn Ulvaeus


Kristian Björn Ulvaeus (born April 25, 1945, in Gothenburg) is a Swedish musician who is best known as one of the pop band ABBA's member.

Björn was born in Gothenburg, but Björnin family moved to Västervik Björns of 6-year-old. He was the first guitar the age of 13, when he was inspired to rock'n roll and skiffle music.


The early 1960s, he belonged to the West Bay Singers-named band, who in 1963 took part in the Swedish radio organize talent search competition "Plats på Scen." Meanwhile, the competition, another upcoming ABBA's members, 17-year-old Anni-Frid Lyngstad (Frida). Competition also just established a record company Polar producer Stig Anderson, and his collaborator Bengt Bernhard became interested in the band, and contacted its members.


West Bay Singers name was changed Hootenanny Singer Therefore, and it soon became the 60th century's most popular bands in Sweden. Björn met in 1966, Benny Andersson, who was Sweden's most popular The Hep Stars, the band's keyboardist. Björn and Benny wrote the first joint sävellyksensä "It Is not Easy to Say."


Björn recorded 60th century, their four singles, but his solo career with never taken alleen wings, but he still continued to cooperate closely with Benny Andersson. 1970 Björn and Benny started to publish discs kaksistaan. Twosome has written musicals Chess (1984), Kristina från Duvemåla (1995) (Vilhelm Moberg book basis) and Mamma Mia! (2000), the latter of which builds on existing Abba songs.
